Your success depends on your ability to influence and inspire others. It’s not an easy task. Few are able to achieve the level of influence necessary to lead, simply because most are not given the opportunity and resources, or can’t spare the time, necessary to uncover and maximize their innate leadership qualities.
Leadership in a Sales Organization, a conference designed for emerging leaders and experienced executives in insurance brokerage, provides a non-competitive forum for leadership development, industry networking and best practices education in a strategic, hands-on program facilitated by Todd Henshaw, Wharton’s Director of Executive Leadership Programs.
The first morning of the conference, esteemed industry leaders J. Hyatt Brown, Steve Topel, and Steve Brockmeyer set the stage for the conference by sharing their personal stories, lessons learned, challenges overcome, and unique views of the future of industry leadership. To maximize the benefit of this exciting forum, an interactive question and answer session will immediately follow each speaker's presentation.
Invest in yourself. Experience this intensive, world-class leadership program at a fraction of typical Wharton-level registration fees. You will:
- Gain insight into the unique personality traits that influence your leadership style through completing a Hogan Assessment* and use the results to identify next steps in your leadership development.
- Meet and work alongside other leaders from the insurance brokerage community to understand leadership style and how it affects those that work with you and for you.
- Understand the psychology of power and influence, and learn how to gain and effectively use power and influence within your firm and with clients and prospects.
- Know the difference between transactional and transformational leadership, and learn and practice behaviors that will inspire others to perform at higher levels.
- Learn first-hand, from a panel of highly successful and innovative entrepreneurs, cutting edge leadership practices and pioneering business models.
- Join the ongoing and high-level dialogue about the future of our industry and forge professional relationships that will be of value long after the conference concludes.
* First time attendees will take the Hogan Development Survey (HDS). Returning participants, who took the HDS last year, will be taking the Hogan Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory Assessment (MVPI). This returning group will be assigned a task intended to provide a synthesis of Hogan results and will participate in a reflective exercise to focus on behavioral changes and increased self-awareness. Dr. Henshaw will allocate time to answer questions with this group while the main group is engaged in team coaching.
